Dorff, Daniel – Tweet (for Solo Piccolo)

Inspired by enthusiastic early birds outside the composer’s window, Tweet was the perfect answer when Dorff needed a unique musical idea for solo piccolo. Commissioned by Lois Bliss Herbine, who will premiere it at NFA 2011, Tweet’s commission fee was gardening lessons and a carload of transplants from Herbine’s garden to the composer’s yard.
